PATA drive
Is PATA drive same as IDE? i am planning on buying MOBO that says it has PATA. i was wondering if i can hook up my old IDE drive onto that MOBO.

Hi
yes, they are the same. the P is for parallel cable that is a flat 40 or 80 wire. they used to be called IDE, and I still do, until SATA drives came out. that uses a round serial cable. hence the S for serial.
