missing 2 drive

I have 2 sat drives 1 80mgb is the C drive, the 2 is 120mgb and is usually D drive. I had a problem with my C drive and had to reformatt the hard drive and reload win XP. I first had a problem that the bios did not find any harddrives. I managed to find the drivers and reinstalled win XP.

When it boots up the bios says I have both drives, but when I look in my computer/explora it cant' find the D drive. I checked with controll panel/system/devices and it says the the D drive is there and that there is nothing wrong. But I still cannot access it. I've tried reinstalling the drivers for the D drive but it is still the same.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm

go to start / right click on my computer / select manage from the menu / then click on disk management in the left pane of the console that appears / then look in the right console ................ how is your missing drive described in disk management

Hi I check disk managment and it told me I have a c: drive and a d: drive (but the d: drive is my cd-rom and no mention of my 2 sat drive

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh DOH ............ sorry about that .............. I should have told you; you need to load your motherboard chipset drivers in order to run the onboard sata controller ....................
