Partition Troubles

Hello. I have a Seagate 250 g hdd and partitioned it to load windows xp pro. Used 9 gig partition. Didn't know that everything downloaded from then on would go into that smaller partition so now running out of space. My C drive is showing 128 gigs of free space. How do I capture that space into my smaller partition? I have tried diskpart.exe but cannot seem to get it to work right. Probably me!! I have acronis 9 but it asks for another hdd to be installed. Anyone ever had this problem? Appreciate any help. Will

Re: Partition Troubles

this works kind of like partition magic but is free
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...kage_id=271779
download Gparted iso and burn to a disk. use imgburn if you need it
http://www.imgburn.com/
that will make a bootable cd. don't know if your 9gb follows and is adjacent to your C: for sure, so if you have any questions, post back. Always backup your data first, incase the unexpected happens.

Re: Partition Troubles

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. Thanks. I did download the iso part of gpart and couldn't get it to open. I will download the zip file and see. I downloaded the free trial and noticed how easy the Acronis 10 manager was - However, unless you pay $50 bucks it doesn' take and reverts back to where it was. What kind of free trial was that? Thanks again.
