Access problems w/ using old hdd as secondary drive on new computer

Hi, so I am running my old hard drive from my old computer as the secondary drive on my new computer w/ vista. I go to open some of the folders on the inside and get the message "you have been denied permission to access this folder" then it tells me to use the "security tab" once in the security tab it says "you do not have permission to view or edit this object's permission settings". I dont know what to do to make it so I can access these files.

You need to be logged in with an administrator account to take ownership. I don't use vista, looks more complicated than doing so in xp. Anyway, here's a link with instructions. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67...ship-file.html
