Nosignal to monitor

Hi
Anyone help a idiot?
Had a desktop stored while moving house for 12 months. Jst attached all leads but no signal being received by monitor.
Although the computer sounds as though it is booting, I cant tell because I cant see anything. Can anyone help, should I have a problem having not used pc for a while?
Cheers

Re: Nosignal to monitor

HI,
Is this an On-Board Video Card or a PCI add on card?
What is the make and model of this PC?

Compaq presario s4500UK
I bought direct from HP so I guess it would be onboard?
About 2/3 years old. Worked fine until put into storage (at home) for the last year.
Cheers

Do you have another monitor to test?
Was the unit stored in a controlled enviroment?
