[SOLVED] Herro everybody. NOt sure if this is the right place......
Hello forum.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, if it is incorrect please let me know and I will repost in the appropriate category. I recently bought a new HD and did a fresh install. I hooked up my old HD as a secondary drive as it was (meaning I didn't format it or anything). I was hoping that I could just copy my files over, or use it as a media drive. My problem is, I can't access the main "my documents" folder. I am currently running XP and was also on the old HD. The primary account/login for the "my documents" folder that I am trying to access is password protected. Is there any way that I can retrieve that info? thanks in advance for your help. and sorry if it is a little confusing. I'm not sure how else to explain it. |

You probably got access denied. It has to do with NTFS file permissions. Try taking ownership of everything in the drive.
