Newbie needs help with second hard drive

Hello all, here's the situation. My aunt wanted me to add another hard drive to her computer which I was able to do without incident. The bios recognizes the additional hard drive, and I am able to save data on the second drive. The primary hard drive has 152MB of free space left, disk cleanup and defrag had zero effect on space. file system is NTFS. My question is can I have files sent directly to the second hard drive without manually doing so? And if so, how? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Newbie needs help with second hard drive

and welcome to the Forum

Right click on My Documents icon on the desktop . . select Properties . . click the Move button and navigate to the second drive. When it asks if you want to move the items click yes . .

This will relocate the files in My Documents and automatically use that location in the future
