OS: xp sp2


I copy files that over harddisk limit

Hi guys, I have a maxtor harddisk. I copy a file which is bigger than the available HD space. It hang while copy half way, I reboot to find the os crashed. I try using external cable to connect. Nothing prompt in my computer.

Is there a cure without low level format?

See if you can enter safe mode and then try a system restore before you added something that caused the difficulties and see if that helps.

Can't. The OS crashed, it says insert system disk.

In computer management it says that HD is unallocated. The file system seems to be gone.
