installing 2nd SATA drive...
I'm going to install a second SATA drive on my Dell XPS 410. THere are six SATA ports on the board, in a group of 2 (SATA0 & SATA1) and the rest in a group of 4. Currently, the DVD drive is in SATA1 and the Samsung 250gb drive is in SATA0. Does it matter which port I connect the new drive to?
Thanks in advance! |

Re: installing 2nd SATA drive...
I usually plug mine in order, but sometimes you can't, like when a video card blocks sata ports. It'll work fine.
