Harddrive I/O Error
Hello, I'm asking on behalf of my sister who has recently lost the ability to boot up her computer. It kept asking for a boot device, so she took out the harddrive and tried to connect it to her laptop, which resulted in a message along the lines of, "Cannot access due to I/O Device error."
All she wants is to save some files she left on the desktop rather than the partition (or backed up). Any help is greatly appreciated! P.S. I'm not sure of specific details of her computer if they are needed, but it's an Acer Desktop computer using Vista. Last edited by Shashi05; 11-19-2008 at 04:51 PM. |
