My external drive shows up in Disk Management, but not My computer...I have read ALOT

Ok so I have searched and searched and can not fix this one.

I have a Seagate 1TB Barracuda in a Vantec NexStar MX enclosure.

Long story short, I had trouble getting it to read on one of my XP systems, so I put it on the other XP system and everything worked fine. It is formatted in NTFS, one partition, and I chose the bootable option (In Seagates "Disk Wizard" program).

Now back to this other XP system that doesn't seem to show it in "My Computer". It shows up in "Disk Management" and I can even "Open" it thru Disk Management, but if I chose "Explore" it takes me to windows explorer and the drive is not shown.

I thought maybe I can "Open" the disk thru "Disk Management" and transfer my c:\ drive to the new disk that way, then reformat the c:\ and start all over with a fresh install of windows, and still have all my old data on the new back-up. So I "Open" the disk thru "Disk Management" and try to copy a file. Apparently dw_ug.en.pdf is too long a file name and can't be copied. That's obviously going to come up again and again with the other million files that need to be copied.

So what is up with this system and why is it having issues with this drive? I upgraded the Bios to the latest but still no joy.

Help! Please
Thanks

Update:

Seems it shows up when I change to another user. It's just in this main Admin account where it's not showing up.
