Hi,
I run windows XP. My primary hard drive (a 160gig seagate) has been breaking for a while now, but i thought it would last until i could do something about it. Well it hasn't. So the primary drive won't boot the system, i get as far as the black windows loading page and the hard drive crashes. So i want to temporarily install windows xp onto my second hard drive (500gig WD) until i can get 2 new hard drives and try and make a raid system. But, there are a lot of files i want on this second hard drive, I have a computer at work with ample storage for the files but i cant take it to pieces to plug my second hard drive in because a) its a dell, b) its brand new and i don't think the tech guys at uni would be too impressed with me... So is there any other way of hooking up my second hard drive with my work computer to get these files off it before i wipe it and install xp on it? Sorry for my ramble and thanks for any responses. Matt |
