BSOD when trying to repair windows xp pro

hello guys! I have a prob here and hoping you could help me solve it. I have a 80 gb samsung sv8004h that I've been using for years then I decided to put a 40gb spo411n to see what files are in there cause I got it from a friend, I forgot to change the jumper settings of the 40 gb meaning to say that the 2 are set on master, when I rebooted, my windows got corrupted and tried to repair install but it keeps on freezing so I decided to format the 80 gb but in the middle of the process it froze and when I tried to press r to chkdsk it I got a BSOD but the 40 gb still works after I ran chkdsk. I downloaded Knoppix (so I can repair it) and burnt the ISO file on a cd and when I booted from it the language is in german LOL. I downloaded the English version but when I burn it, It wont boot up. I'm looking to burn the HUTIL of samsung,do you think that will help? and I don't know how to use that. any other suggestions to fix this?

Re: BSOD when trying to repair windows xp pro

I fixed it, I downloaded Ubuntu live cd and burn the iso. I ran ntfsfix and when I booted to the Windows installation cd I ran chkdsk, formatted the disk and installed Xp. LOL no one replied, thanks anyways.
