Hard drive/controller problem

I need some help please. I run a system that is home built running on windows Xp home edition. The problem is that I have 3 hard drives and recently my C drive was infected and needed to be completely reinstalled. The install went perfect and had no issues. Here is where things go wrong, I run a raid car to run my 2n and 3rd hard drives. The controller finds the drives ok but the system wont show them. I have done all I can think of. The card was properly installed, only software that was with it was a driver disk. The card is working properly and enabled according to the device manager. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Hard drive/controller problem

and welcome to the Forum

Does BIOS recognize the drives? Did you load the drivers with the drives disconnected, reboot, shut down and then attach the cards?

Re: Hard drive/controller problem

My main BIOS does not see them but wont detect them either, all it does is freeze up when trying to detect them in the BIOS screen. The drivers were loaded with everything hooked up as it is now the card was not pulled from the machine during the windows reinstall. The machine has been restarted several times.
