[SOLVED] Turn off Hard drive
hi guys!
i have a question. what happens when you turn off you hard drive? is it like hibernation? thanks slug |

Slug, you need to clarify what you want to do. If you simply unplug the ribbon cable from it or or take the power lead out, then it simply won't work. You plug it back in and away it goes. Is that what you want to know?

ooo right sorry bout that...
ok i have an xp system and when you go to control panel>click performance and maintencance>it says power options on the bottom of the page. you can click it and then it reads for ex.:turn off monitor... it also says tourn of hard disks and i was wondering what that means. is it like hibernation? thank you |

Don't know the motherboard, but that sounds like hibernation to me.
