Computer won't reboot
I was running a (c:) disk defrag, in a Windows CP environment. All the original PC hardware is in place. I left the PC running, and beleive that part way through the defrag, the auto-power-off kicked in, and switched off the PC.
When I switch on now, I get the option to start in safe mode, start with previous settings etc etc. I have tried each of the options, and for each one the same thing happens - the reboot starts, the windows start-up screen appears for a few seconds, and then it goes back to the beginning with the options for safe mode etc. What can I do to get the PC to reboot properly? Thanks, Chris |

Re: Computer won't reboot
Try clearing the cmos by removing the motherboard battery for a few minutes or even moving the jumper from pins 1 & 2 to pins 2 & 3, then moving it back after a few minutes.
