Help....Had to reformat hard drive and lost all pictures!

Hi:

I hope someone can help me with this problem! I had a major virus and the only way to get rid of it was to reformat my hard drive and start over. Unfortunately, I lost some extremely important pictures from my sons wedding that I need desperately to get back. Does anyone know of a program that retrieve pictures from a formatted hard drive? I have tried retrieving them from a memory card but that was also formatted back in July after the pictures were removed. I think I used cardrecovery but it did not work. Thanks for any information you can supply!
Sincerely
Jerrie W

I'm sorry, but formatting your hard drive isn't like deleting a file. There are no remnants left. All the pictures you lost are unrecoverable.

if you reformatted then reinstalled your operating system right after that then your pictures are gone. However, if you just reformatted and have yet to write anything to the drive there is hope!

I use R-Studio to recover deleted files from reformats or accidental deletion.

Rstudio NTFS will do the trick. It costs $50, not bad at all.
