Raid 0 + External drive hooked up with e-Sata
I have 2 500gb Seagates running in a Raid 0, and I bought this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817173042 and put a 1TB Seagate in it for back up. It's hooked up through e-Sata. It recognizes the hard drive in the BIOS, but doesn't show up in windows under my computer. Any ideas? Thanks!

Go into disk management, format and allocate. I dont think it
should interfer with your raid setup, beings how its external.

Re: Raid 0 + External drive hooked up with e-Sata
That would be a esata port., that is supposed to be hot swappable.
Disk management is in control panel, admin tools, component management, then look for disk management in the tree to the left. You probably need to format and allocate.

Re: Raid 0 + External drive hooked up with e-Sata
Ok, it was under computer management. I looked there earlier, but didn't look hard enough. You are the man! Thanks!
Now all I need is some software that can monitor certain folders on my main hard drive, and automatically copy whatever I put in those folders to the e-sata hard drive... |
