Re: my disk E dissapeared
Looks like you have a very similar problem I have had recently. What has happened is when you run AVG to scan for viruses, it has picked up infected windows files - and deleted/quarantined them. Hence why your windows sysem is not fully functional. I'm guessing the disk E on your system was your "My computer" disk? If so, then the exact same thing happened as it did to me.
You will need to boot using your windows XP system CD - first try a system repair. If that fails you will need to reinstall the windows XP operating system again. Before you attempt any of this I would recommend getting an expert to try and recover any files/information that you want to try to keep if this is possible. |

Re: my disk E dissapeared
Thank you for quick answer.
It happened me to cope with it happily. Reinstall windows - easy to say! Do you know how much work after reinstaliation?! Windows run on C disk quite good for a while. Disk E was only for My documents (A lot of webs and all my property), which I created separately from C disk if something happens. My computer was My computer with all disks: C, D, E, F, G, H What I did, my friend advised - to touch the disks ![]() I switched off computer and let it a little to rest from me :-) Than opened computer box and touched all disks and all connections... ![]() maybe this, maybe not, but when I switched on computer, disk E was in place. So, I am happy, because I thought the worst, that my new disk became damaged Now I run to burn all my documents on CD for bad days |
