XP - Boot up - MBR trashed?

Hi,

I have an ASUS A8N-SLi deluxe motherboard with two Maxtor 6L200M0 200gb hard drives running in raid 0 (SATA). I have turned the power off on shut down and cannot now boot up (unmountable boot volume).

When I try toboot from the Windows CD it won't allow me to press F6 to install the SATA driver and completely ignores the button pressing. It allows me to press F2 immediately after though.

It will reach 'press S for a third party driver' but it states the drive I have is corrupt, even though this is downloaded from the Maxtor website.

I have been tring to resolve for days now and am losing the will to live, so I thought i'd ask the experts for help. Any ideas please?

Thanks in anticipation,

Graham
