Setting up RAID?
I presently have a ~250 gig HD in my computer. I'm looking to get a bigger one, and hook it up to RAID 0. However, I know very...VERY little about RAID, and the last time I tried to fix a hard drive issue was a total nightmare.
Simple question: How do you set up RAID? Is it as simple as connecting the two of them? Do I need to format the new hard drive first? If I format the new Hard Drive, would that wipe the old one? Or should I unplug the old one, format the new one, and then plug them in? Bios settings? Thanks in advance. |
