SATA HDD 1 of 4 NTFS partitions lost
I have two HDD installed in my PC using Window XP. Seconday SATA HDD 512 GB had 4 NTFS Partitions, now 3 partitions are working and one has been lost. When I click on the lost partition, it asks for formatting which I have not done again as I have my data therein.
Someone tells me Table of contents may have been lost. When I go to Disk Management, 3 working partitions show NTFS against their name, but lost partition does not show NTFS name. When I go to properties of lost partition, it shows used space 0, free space 0. I do not think there was any virus attack. However, when electric supply was down, UPS power exhausted and maybe PC was forcibly shut off with a jerk when the lost HDD drive was open. What should I do to retrieve my data from lost partition : is there some programme or utility to make the lost partition functioning again with all the data intact.
