webbyra, and welcome to the ForumSATA II is technically faster than SATA I, but as belfasteddie said, in everyday use you will not see any difference

The original SATA goes up to 150MB/s, and SATA-300 goes up to 300MB/s. That's however hardly a concern because that's the maximum theoretical limit of the interface. Today's fastest and most expensive drives max out at about 120MB/s.
