[SOLVED] Where can i find those blasted SATA drivers? :(

Hey guys, i have a little problem here.
I'm trying to install Xp Pro Sp2 on a new Maxtor SATA Hd.
Being my first one, i'm really noob about this and do not know where to find the needed drivers.
Yes, i already checked my mb's cd, and no "makedisk" option. And i already checked Asus website, and no download there. And no floppy disk inside mb's box.
My mb is an ASUS P5GC-MX/1333. Don't know what to do. I do not even know if drivers are needed using this mb, but i suppose so.

I thank you in advance for your help.

Have you checked on the Maxtor/Seagate website to find drivers?

Most newer BIOS allow an Alternate method for SATA . . Go into the bios and check the "Sata Operation" setting, change it to "Raid Autodetect/ATA if it is not already. Now try to install XP ( Verbage will vary by manufacturer )

This avoids the need to load the SATA drivers during the installation.

Re: Where can i find those blasted SATA drivers? :(

Yes, i already checked Maxtor's webpage.

Anyway, i tried what simpswr suggested. Actually, i did not find that exact option but something similar.
I installed Xp WITHOUT pressing F6, and it looks fine. It seems i did not need separate drivers after all...

Thanks guys :D
