Re: full usage of hard disk seagate 400gb
What version of Windows are you using? (need exact service pack number)
Windows XP without any Service Pack, and Windows 2000 up to SP2 can't detect drives over 128GB. You need Windows 2000 SP3 or higher (with a registry tweak), or Windows XP SP1 or higher. |

Re: full usage of hard disk seagate 400gb
Hi nagaraj and welcome to TSF !
It's as blah789 said, you may have used a pre-SP1 version of the XP CD to install. If you already have SP1 or later then right-click my computer => manage => disk management under storage. You'll see unallocated space on your hard drive, right-click it to create a partition. If the drive is also reported as a 137GB drive under Disk 0 in disk management see what size is reported in the BIOS (press del at startup or look for some "press xx to enter setup" message). I removed your mail address from your first post, you shouldn't post your mail in plain text on forums or spambots will get it in no time. |
