Using XP Pro ....just had a new motherboard installed by a shop and when I got home plugged in my Venus DS3 external hard drive which had my films on , pictures and info from my internal hard drive in case the shop had to format my hard drive ,to find I have a code 10 and my hard drive does not show beside my computer but is shown in my usbs in device manager.
I have tried re-installing my drivers ,still does not work , light at the front of of hard drive some times green and some time flashing red. Have tried different comps still getting code10. So decided to go back to shop where I was told as it was clicking the hard drive was trying to work and read the drive but it just could not and as it never been banged or dropped I should take it home and every now and again try to switch it on and one day might get it to work till I take the info off the external drive , he also check it on his machine What do others think ,any ideas please |
