Re: seagate freeagent 715

Hi

How big are the files and what file system is used on the external drive?
Are you moving files to or from the drive?

Re: seagate freeagent 715

Run Seatools for DOS to check the drive for errors.

What's the brand/model of your computer?

Re: seagate freeagent 715

If you're so sure - why don't you ask for a replacement?

Re: seagate freeagent 715

You'll have to get the HDD out of the enclosure.
Then mount it in a desktop PC or another enclosure.
