Unable to format C drive
Hello,
Over the past few weeks, I've had real bad virus and windows xp problems. I posted in another forum on this website, and was able to get the help I needed in terms of removing the virus. When it came to windows xp, I had problems with the windows installer, and no matter what I tried, it was unable to run. Therefore, I have decided to do a clean re-installation of windows xp. However, before doing this, I went to go and format the C drive. I right-clicked the 'c: drive', clicked format, then clicked start. This gave me this error : 'Windows cannot format this drive. Quit any disk utilities or other programs that are using this drive, and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of the drive. Then try formatting again' What am I able to do to format the C drive? Thankyou in advance p.s I am running a windows xp home, dell dimension 4550 pc |
