[SOLVED] BSOD caused by dying HDD?

I got my first BSOD last night. Whilst Im not a noob or new to the scene, I still need answers!!
I believe it could have been caused by one of my IDE hard disks that are RAIDed. It runs at least 20 celsius higher than the other one and has started making slightly louder noises than usual, up to last night.
I went to shut down and all I heard was a whine reducing in tone as it went on. By this time I had already turned the monitor off, so I switched it back on to find the BSOD. Heres a vague description...

{the usual windows has shutdown to prevent damage}
then

MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
then the usual

BLAH BLAH BLAH ETC ETC ETC

Technical Information:
***STOP: 0x0000009c (0x00000000, 0xBAB4c050, 0B2000040, 0x00000800)
Then there was a phsical mem dump (weird thing is, I cant seem to find any error reports or mem dump reports in windows, is this normal?)

Anyway guys, tell me what you think, Is it that naughty old RAIDed disk thats causing this? The only other new addition to the computer is Avast and I doubt that could do it.

Well. Its not happened again. I should add though, I was switching my UV cathodes off as I set it to shutdown, so maybe it was just a voltage spike?
I looked over devmgmt, and found I dont have any of those drivers mentioned, but should I have an Nvidia IDE driver, as opposed to the generic one in the pic below?

I think The drive I am referring to is on its way to HD heaven though, cos it sits at 56 celsius most of the time and its right in front of the intake fan (as opposed to a steady 32 on the matching one)

I also have this error, and havent found a solution yet, just made a post a few minutes ago on what happening with mine, so mine problem might be with one of my HDDs aswell...

I had eventually worked out that it was a voltage spike on the cable the HDD was plugged into. It just happened to be the same rail as my UV cathode was plugged into, so when I turned it off, dink went my HDD. I've recently started to get file system errors on it too so its getting chucked once it dies completely.
