Clinking Noise

I have the same issue with a brand new WD drive from Dell. Did you have further problems with this drive?

Re: Clinking Noise

I have a WD 250GB harddrive bought as Dell part (NEW) for my Latitude D620 laptop. I can hear a small clinking or dripping noise every 3-4 seconds when all else is quiet around. Nothing seems to be wrong, but I wonder if the drive is failing..

I did run the diagnostics provided by WD, but it said the drive was fine, no issues.

I had replied to an earlier thread about this which the moderator split and put me on a new thread, hence you don't see the history - sorry about that.. Just wondering if anyone else had similar issues, and what fixed it or if it failed eventually :-(that would be bad)
