Is it my HDD problem?
Will partitioning and formating a HDD partition twice(same memory size) render the computer unstable. My computer with a newly installed Samsung HDD keeping hanging. Using only one OS (window xp SP2) and NTFS format.
Thanks! Last edited by TheNoobII : 07-03-2008 at 04:27 AM. |

Re: Is it my HDD problem?
It really shouldn't, but sometimes if there are errors in the formatting (especially if the table that holds your files names gets corrupt), it can cause an installation to go bad.
If you're going to try the install again, I would recommend clearing out all the partitions before you start again, and use the full format instead of the quick format when you get to that step.
