HARD Disk

Please help!My motherboard can't detect my hard disk but when I attached my hard disk to another PC it work's fine I also try to put another hard disk to my Computer and it also works fine what will i do please help thank you so much

Welcome to TSF.

What computer (or motherboard) do you have?
What brand/model is the HDD? If it's a SATA II drive - use a jumper to make it run SATA I mode.

Is the drive alone on the ribbon cable? If not, try that.

Also:
Replace the ribbon cable.
Use another 4-pin power plug for the HDD.

yes I already replaced the IDE cable and I also tried another power supply socket but it didn't work. Thank you for your help!

Is it a new hard drive?
Or an old one that stopped working all of a sudden?

Check the jumper. Set it to master.

it is my old HDD and the jumper was in the master pin. when i try my HDD to another PC it works fine and i also put another HDD to my PC and it also works fine I tried and replaced every hardware such as my RAM, video card and my power supply but my HDD didn't work. I just can't figure out what seems to be the problem.

What do you mean when you say "it doesn't work"?

Does the HDD get detected in BIOS?
Do Windows try to start, but there's an error message instead?

yup! the BIOS can't detect my HDD but when i try to attached another HDD it works well

Connect the HDD to another computer and run Seatools for DOS (long test).
