Seagate 250GB external hard drive
Hello,
I bought a Seagate external hard drive almost a year ago, and am having a bit of a problem with it. It was working perfectly fine until about a week ago when all of my information disappeared! It was doing this weird thing: When I created a new folder and added one of the pictures that didn't disappear, one of the "missing" files (or folders) would reappear. I did this several times and was able to retrieve several, but not all, of the missing files. Some of the files that were on the hard drive were on my C: drive, so I tried to resave them and was prompted that the file already existed on my F: drive. When I looked at the details of my hard drive, I see that the total amount of space is 250GB, and 202GB is free (leaving 48GB aka ALL of my data!) How can I retrieve this information? Why did it disappear? Hopefully it isn't gone forever.....
