Re: Hard drive problem

Seems like you made a new partition and that is where Windows is now stored. We can try merging that space into the current Windows partition, or we can take the safer route and delete all the paritions on the drive and format it together as one whole drive again.

Partition - (computer science) the part of a hard disk that is dedicated to a particular operating system or application and accessed as a single unit

Reply back on your choice.

Re: Hard drive problem

OK Then. Let's get started on this work, now shall we

First off I would like you to download this ZIP Archive: http://software.lsoft.net/boot-cd-iso.zip

After downloading that, extract the files out of it using either Windows or your favorite archiving software. Then double click the Iso-Burner.exe tool inside of it.

After doing so, insert a blank CD-R into that computer and click the burn button on the tool. After it is done burning, insert it into the computer you want to format.

- Make sure to backup ALL data that you want to keep
- Make sure to have a Windows Installation Disk and Product Key

After checking those both off, start from the disk and format your computer using it. You may need to enter the BIOS to start from disks first.

After completely formatting your computer, use this XP Installation Guide to reinstall Windows:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/cont...icles/158.html

If you have any questions before starting the procedure, or in the middle of the procedure please feel free to ask your question back here.

Kind Regards,
Techpro5238

Re: Hard drive problem

Have you installed any XP service packs?
If not, only 128Gb (approx.) will be recognized in Windows.

Re: Hard drive problem

Sadly we can not assist with Pirated Windows. Please read our rules:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/rules.php

If you can get a legal Windows license then we will assist you. Until then, we can not help you.

Kind Regards,
Techpro5238
