external hard disc
I've got an external hard disc that just has stopped working. Computers only detect it half the time I use it and when I try to open the folder it says that the hard disc hasn't been formated yet and if I wish to do so. The weird thing is, that up until at week ago it was working fine.
Anyone know what to do? I really need the stuff that's on there... |

Might be the enclosure. Buy another one and see if it works.
Or take the drive out of the enclosure, hook it up directly to the mobo and see if it is ok.,you may have to set jumpers to slave if its a ide harddrive.
