My sister has (now had) a Dell Inspiron from 2003. Recently, she told me that a loud noise was coming from the computer. After I heard it, the noise sounded familiar to me... which happened to be the fan for the processor going bad (it happened to two of my work computers in a 10 day span). So I was able to get similar computer and put my sister's hard drive in the machine and a friend helping me accidentally deleted all the files in the hard drive without saving the files already in there... or at least the pictures that I was supposed to retrieve.
So my question. Does anyone know what program or how (if possible) I can retrieve the files on the hard drive? I know I will have to reinstall the operating system (because it was totally wiped clean). Unfortunately, I will only have a couple months before all the old computers are to be completely turned in so they can be replaced. I do appreciate the help anyone can offer. |

Re: Finding Files on Completely Deleted Hard Drive
yes mate, it is possible to get data back after accidentaly deleting.
I know for two good programs that I am using and ,believe me, making good money of it :) First one is getbackdata: http://www.getbackdata.net/... It is an excellent program and very simple too. But it cost :( Second program is Smart Undelete: http://www.smartundelete.com/... Also an excellent program and simple too but it cost too :( If you have important data that I could suggest you to download smart undelete program trial and see if this one will find your data. If this program finds it, than you can download full version and get yor data back. Hope this will help :)

Re: Finding Files on Completely Deleted Hard Drive
I appreciate your help. Because I have to reload windows onto the computer, will this cause any problems obtaining the deleted files? I looked at both sites and I will be purchasing one of the two programs.
Thank you for your help:) |

Re: Finding Files on Completely Deleted Hard Drive
I believe it will mate. Better option is to attach yours sisters HDD to your PC or someone else PC and perform backing data.
If you write other data on same clusters [like installing Windows for example] it will have side effects [you will not be able to get deleted files]

Re: Finding Files on Completely Deleted Hard Drive
Yep, Vladimir is right - do not write anything on this HDD! Or you will lose the last chance to recover your data...
I can advise one more program to look at: DiskInternals Uneraser ( http://recovery-review.com/undelete-...raser-2-9.html here you can read a review about it). Try this too (it has a trial) - maybe it can perform better than those two. |
