Is my Harddrive failing?
Hi all,
When my computer is running I hear a tick noise once every now and then, it is unpredictable and happens very seldomly(twice an hour). I have run scandisk on all my drives and no bad sectors were reported. Scandisk did fix some other things like incorrectly marked free space or something. Is there an easy way of discovering which drive it is? Besides disconnecting them. I'm just hoping that the tick is not a sign of a soon to fail HD, as I have had no problems reading from any of the drives to date. Thanks for any help in advance. |

Re: Is my Harddrive failing?
I have 2 Seagate drives and 1 Hitachi. I used the seagate program for all of them, as I could not get the Hitchai program to work with a stiffy drive or blank cd. All drives passed Seagates "Long generic" test.
