Help W/ Parted Magic
okay so i am trying to partition a drive using partedmagic this is wat i do
click on the drive that i want to partition and then click resize/move after i do that i pick the size of the drive that i wanna make it. i did 50 GB and then it takes me back to the main screen and click on apply and it keep giving me this error saying "move/dev/hdv1 to the left and shrink it from 465.76 GiB to 410.80 GiB every time i try it keeps saying the same thing over and over. im starting to get tired of this. if anyone could help me out that would be great. |

Welcome to TSF.
 Please explain: What is installed on the drive (500 GB)? How is it partitioned now? Do you have a 465.76 GB partition that you want to shrink to 50 GB?

You have to shrink/resize the 465 GB partition to get 50 GB free space.
Then right click the free space and create a new partition.
