Dual/Triple Hard Drive System

I recently recieved a newer Dell Optiplex GX260. It has a 40gb hdd, and my other system has a 120gb, with another 40gb as a storage drive. My question is, is there anyway I can configure the 120gb (which has all my current information) to either be the bootable hdd, and then have the other 40's as storage drives, or some way so that I can choose to boot from the 120 or the 40 upon loading the system.

Thanks!

Re: Dual/Triple Hard Drive System

Hi

The operating system (Windows?) on the 120GB drive will, in all likelihood, not run in the Optiplex, without repairing it.
Why not use the 120GB drive for storage?

Are the drives IDE or SATA?

Re: Dual/Triple Hard Drive System

It would be better to install it as a slave and move the data between computers. However if the purpose is to use the operating system thats already installed, and if it came with that computer, then you will need to purchase the full retail version of it. It is a violation of microsofts eula to transfer oem software between computers.

Re: Dual/Triple Hard Drive System

The drives are IDE, and the original system is not a purchased one, but a diy system. I'll think over my options before I make a decision. Thanks.
