Power Outage during install

Help!!! I bought a western digital 320 GB external hard drive. During instalation the power went out. Now my computer will not show anything for G drive. I tried system restore and it says the G drive was either turned off or removed. I can't get it to pull any of the setup files up since they were half way done when the power went out.

See if you can download the setup files/programs from Western Digital: http://support.wdc.com/download/index.asp

tried this. but my computer will not recognize the external hard drive at all. I rebooted and still no external drive. I tried the diagnostics and it still will not recognize drive G. Any more suggestions.

If the drive isn't recognized you should ask for a replacement.
(you don't have to mention the power outage)
