wd 250gb passport not in mycomputer after reformat

i went to reformat this usb drive and it said it could not be reformated and now it doesnt show up in mycomputer it does show up in a winhiip but that is only for formating playstaion2 drives and will not work so is there another formating software i can try to use thanx in advance nic|<

Hi

Use Disk management.
(Right click "My computer" > choose "Manage" > Disk Management)

it aint there it says some thing with disk 7 witch it is right away but whe n i go throuhg it it still doesnt show up

The drive has to be formatted properly before you can see it in My Computer.

Do you see the drive in Disk Management (disk 7)?
If so, right click the drive >> choose New Partition.

How to use Disk Management to configure basic disks in Windows XP.

Use another USB cable and another port on the computer.
Do not connect the USB cable via a hub.
Connect the drive's power supply directly to the wall - not to a power surge protector.

uhm it is pwer thru usb and i ve tried different cable and port but it shows up in a formater for a playstation2 harddrive and i can format it thru there but it is the wrong format and it partions are special for ps2 only

Sorry - but what are you talking about?
You can't format playstation partitions in Windows (AFAIK).
I know absolutely nothing about PS - can't you use the console to format the drive?

u install game iso's from a pc and use the pc to format the hdd for the ps2 can read it with special software and the pc can also read now the program can read it but not other drivers

uhm load quicker but i got a 1tera for it so i want to switch this one back to a regualar hdd
