HDD internal to external
Hello, about a year ago i bought a hdd to go inside my computer. i installed it all fine but when it played songs off it etc my computer slowed to nearly a halt. i thought that this must be my power supply was too low so i bought an external case with its own power suppy and now it works fine.
The problem i'm having at the moment is when i switch it off and the computer is still running and i try and install a new program, i get an error and the program won't install until i turn on the external drive. any help would be appriciated. Thanks, Luke |

Re: HDD internal to external
Hey there, thanks for the quick reply.
I'm a total noob with this stuff. What's the pagefile haha? I'm pretty sure nothing is installed on there though. I've got videos, songs and some programs (not installed on there, just setup files for backup) |

Re: HDD internal to external
The pagefile is Windows virtual memory.
