WD3200AAJB not Recognized in Bios
I recently bought a used Western Digital Hard drive WD3200AAJB, and my
system does not recognize it in Bios, or any where. The Jumper setting is set to Master, (no other drives attached). Hard drive is powered and spinning. Not sure if its ever been properly Formatted. Date on HDD is Jun-2007. So maybe its still under warranty. What do i Do ? Rod. |

Re: WD3200AAJB not Recognized in Bios
I removed jumper off master, and put none back on. went to reboot and this message came up. " Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device "
or, Insert Boot Media in Selected Boot Device, and press a Key. Does this mean maybe there is no Operating system installed ? Bios still does not show HDD........................still Confused Rod, |

Re: WD3200AAJB not Recognized in Bios
Put new 80 wire ide ribbon on. and same thing, nothing in bios. Just for kicks i put my other HDD in, Maxtor 120 GB to be sure its not MB. It worked great. it showed in Bios. So i put the WD320 GB back in switching to cable select, using the end (Black) of ribbon and still will not show in Bios. My computer Knowledge on a scale of 1 to 10 is about a 4. I have Built about 7 computers in about the last 3 years. But this one stumps me.
