I had this problem since long time but never needed a desperate solution as such now I want.
First let me tell you what exactly is wrong. Few months back when I was trying to Boot from Vista DVD for installation, my HDD didn't get detected. Rather I tried 2-3 times and later all was fine. I used Vista for a while. In between while I was trying to dual boot for Linux the same problem occurred, again I tried loads of time and finally it worked. But this time it isn't working. My HDD isn't getting detected.(This time too dual boot). I am currently posting with my Windows XP SP2 running smoothly. My friend just messaged me to set my SATA HDD to Native mode and the problem will be solved. Now I don't know how to do that and that friend of mine is kinda busy to reply.![]() So please help me .Heres my required RIG details.Mobo- ASUS M2N MX SE Processor- AMD ATHLON X2 5200+ RAM- 1GB DDR2 667Mhz HDD- WD1600 160GB SATA Sorry for my bad language. Have the silly habit of those chat syllables. ![]() |
