Re: hard drive
Be sure to check a couple of things on the re-install:
In the Bios setup menu, go to the Boot Area: Boot Order: Hard Drive Priority Area: Note: Make sure your Raid option is turned off in the Bios setup menu to make sure it is not looking for a raid drive. Don't forget to save before you exit if you make any changes. Please list your specs so we know what we are dealing with in the way of a motherboard and the type and brand name drive.

Re: hard drive
When you boot up the computer, you have an option to enter the Bios setup menu. The method of getting there can vary (check your manual) from holding down the DEL button or holding down one of the F keys like F10 or F2. I don't know your rig, but think that either F2 or F10 will do it on a Dell computer. Try it and see which takes you to the Bios setup menu. When you are able to enter the bios setup menu, these items would be in there under a heading called the Boot section.
