Hard drive space is leaving

Hello, I have a Windows XP Media Edition (2002 I believe) 1.37 gb of ram, 228gb Harddrive space and I don't recall what else to put here.

Recently I got a trojan, I believe this is what started it. I had 70gb one day then when I log off Wow (World of Warcraft) for the day I see this message (Low hard drive space) I was thinking. "Oh well mabey it's the new harddrive I got" (80gb put 60gb of stuff on it) then when I checked it was my bigger one with only 12kb of space.

I get rid of the trojan (Got McAfee never got rid of it since AVG wouldn't) and removed some games.

But it's still at 2gb now (The game was only about 4gb) How can I get this hard drive space back? what information do I need to include?

If this is the wrong forum would it be possible to move this to the proper place instead of deleting it please?

did you clear your recycle bin? Since you had some nasties, lets make sure your system is clean. Do this forums five step program for getting rid of nasties.

Re: Hard drive space is leaving

It's been running since 8:00 yesterday. It's 7:00 AM (Almost twelve hours) and it's only 16% done.

Should I restart it or let it do its thing?

The scan I mean.
