Windows can't see my new HDD
I have a dell xps 400 windows xp sp2. I have installed a new maxtor sata 250gb internal hard disk and it's not being recognized. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

 You have to format the drive in Disk management before you can use it. How to use Disk Management to configure basic disks in Windows XP. |
