[SOLVED] XP will not recagnise my SATA drive
I seem to have a strange issue
I just recently installed a 500 gig Samsnug SATA-300 drive in the device manager it finds it in their as the correct driver HD tune a freeware program recagnises it even does a scan but when I go to my computer and I select the drive in this case it is drive I: it just says *Please insert a disk into drive I) as you can see below ![]() Mother Motherboard is GA-K8N Ultra 9 sockert 939 Nforce 4 I do have another 200 Gig SATA drive in here as well and works fine I cant work out the problem it seems to read everywhere and the drivers but will not read in my computer any ideas at all? thanks |

have you formatted the drive in disk mangement
windows will not see an unformatted drive
