[SOLVED] XXClone incomplete disk copy?

I had a bad disk copy recently using XXClone. The new disk booted up OK but when I scanned it with Norton there were dozens of errors which Norton fixed but then it locked up completely so I had to go back to my original disk. I have tried several more times observing the amount of data on the target compared to the source and have uncovered a mystery. The target volume always shows considerably less data than the source, the last source being 11.7gb and the target showing only 7.8gb. Anybody know what's going on with XXClone? I have queried them on their website but have not received an answer.
