[SOLVED] How do I fix bad sectors on my Hard DIsk Drive?

Hello,

I have a Samsung 40gb working for almost 4 years. My problem is that when I chkdsk the disk it shows 24kb in bad sectors.

Tell me what should I do to fix this problem. Thanks and more power.

you could try zeroing the drive,but it's usually time to replace

I tried zeroing and reformatting the drive and I could not get rid of the error. Is there anyway to fix it?

You can fix it temporarily by running chkdsk /r.

But, as Dai said, when a HDD starts developing bad sectors it's time to replace it.
